Both Summerfield’s boys track team and Sand Creek’s boys & girls track teams competed in the Michigan Interscholastic Coaches Association (MITCA) Team State Finals today at Saugatuck.
The coaches association invites the 10 MHSAA Regional champs from last weekend, as well as any team that didn’t win a Regional, but was ranked in the MITCA’s final Top 10 power rankings
Each team can enter up to 3 contestants in each event, and points are awarded for every single place. The only exception being, that you had to at least clear the opening height in both the high jump & pole vault to score points. For example, 1st place in the 100 meter dash received 30 points, 2nd place received 29, 3rd received 28, etc. all the way down to 1 point for 30th place. The relay events scored 60 points for1st place and then decreased by increments of 6.

1) Summerfield (STATE CHAMPS) 869.5
2) Sand Creek 840
3) Evart (defending Champs) 825.5
