Nate Dreslinski got the news Monday that he has dreamed about for years.

“I will be a pilot in the United State Air Force,” Dreslinski said.

The Clinton graduate was a three-sport star in the TCC and went to the Air Force Academy in Colorado Springs, Colo. to play football. He is in his senior year.

A tight end, the 6-4, 240 pound Dreslinski started for the Falcons in week 2 and is a regular member of special teams. He started one game as a sophomore and had appeared in24 games heading into this year.

“I’m a tight end and we run the triple option offense,” he said. “Everybody has a role to play and I take pride in that role, whether it is a blocking on special teams or pinning my guy on the edge as a tight end. I’m comfortable in this system.”

The Falcons are off to a 2-1 start and play Boise State this weekend in a game that will be televised on the CBS Sports Network at 5 p.m. Saturday.
