Clinton stays in first place

OTTAWA LAKE — A furious fourth-quarter rally lifted the Clinton Redskins to a 69-66 win over the Whiteford Bobcats Tuesday, keeping the Redskins in first place in the TCC.

The Redskins trailed after the first, second and third quarters and were down by as many as 18 points. But, Clinton poured in 29 fourth-quarter points to overcome 34 points by Whiteford’s Mitch Iott.

Ryan Karapas scored 11 of his 23 points in the fourth quarter. Ryon Luzior scored 22 points for the game while Collin Poore scored five fourth-quarter points for the visiting Redskins and 14 for the game. Jared Sackett added 10.

Clinton is 9-1 in the TCC, a game ahead of Madison (9-2) and Morenci (8-2) in the loss column.

Whiteford fell to 3-12 on the season and 1-10 in the TCC.
