Trojans big winner again in 2014-15

It remains a good time to be a Madison fan.

The Trojans claimed five league titles during the 2014-15 school year, bringing home trophies in both boys and girls cross country and boys and girls track. The Trojans also won the girls basketball title.

Madison has 44 all-time TCC titles — 22 coming in the past five seasons alone.

With two TCC titles in 2014-15, Whiteford inched closer to Sand Creek’s all-time TCC championships record (see chart below). Whiteford picked up league titles in volleyball and baseball and now has 71 all-time league titles, seven shy of Sand Creek’s record 78.

Clinton won championships in football, golf and softball during 2014-15. The softball title was the eighth straight. Madison has won nine consecutive girls track championships, the league record.

The TCC was founded in the fall of 1972 and held its first season of competition for the 1973-74 school year. The league currently names champions in 11 sports – football, volleyball, boys and girls basketball, boys and girls cross country, boys and girls track, golf, baseball and softball.
