The Bobcat sophomore made his first start at quarterback Friday against Blissfield and led the Bobcats to a 43-8 win. He completed all three of his passes for 142 yards and two touchdowns, ran for a touchdown and set up a score with an interception. The interception came on his first defensive play of the game.
Eitinear was the overwhelming favorite among the five players nominating. He was mentioned in more than 70 comments on the Web site.
Also considered were Connor Mellon of Madison, Alex Thomas of Morenci, Mathew Sexton of Clinton and Josh VanKainen of Summerfield.
Next up for Eitinear and the Bobcats is the team’s home opener against Erie Mason.
