Clinton headed to Ford Field

For the second time in three seasons, the Clinton Redskins will play for the Division 6 state championship.

The Redskins trounced Northpointe Christian Saturday, 49-20, to advance to the state final against Ithaca.

Clinton is trying to become the first football team in Tri-County Conference history to win a state championship.

Noah Poore led Clinton 248 yards rushing and had an 80-yard kickoff return. Mathew Sexton totaled 182 rush yards and caught a long TD pass as the Redskins were able to execute its offense despite the snowy condition.

The Redskins will play at 4 p.m. Friday, November 27, for the state championship.
