Whiteford’s Jesse Kiefer is putting his name and Bobcat football career alongside some of the greatest players in Bobcat history.
Kiefer, a senior running back, has scored six touchdowns in Whiteford’s first two games this season – four rushing and two receiving. In doing so, he’s solidified himself as the top touchdown maker and top football scorer in Whiteford history.
To date, Kiefer has scored 47 touchdowns and 326 career points – both Bobcat records. His 33 rushing touchdowns is two shy of a school record. He also holds Bobcat records for longest pass reception in school history (97 yards) and most receiving yards in a game (183). He was a 1,000-yard back as a sophomore and rushed for more then 900 last year, giving him more than 2,200 career rushing yards and more than 2,750 yards of total offense in his career.
Kiefer was named first team All-State running back by both the Detroit News and Detroit Free Press in 2015.
