Nikki Beazley, who coached Clinton to a TCC championship in 2009, is back as the Redskin varsity volleyball coach.
Beazley takes over for a host of interim coaches the past couple weeks who took over for Siena Heights University student Tyler Hubbard-Neil who had taken the job to start the season.
“I’m just here to help the girls accomplish their goals,” she said. “I saw them play in the Onsted Invitational on Saturday. They play hard. They don’t give up.”
This is Beazley’s second stint with the team. She was head coach in 2008 and 2009 for a Redskin team that won the TCC and won a District championship in her two seasons. She said she plans on taking the weekend to get organized and up to speed on everything the Redskins have done so far this season.
“I think having that experience is good for our girls,” she said. “It gives them some confidence going into this that will help them go forward. It will take a little bit of time, but we will jell. We’ll get there.”
Madison beat Clinton Thursday 25-14, 25-8, 25-14, to remain undefeated in league play at 4-0.
