Whiteford’s Jesse Kiefer passed two more career milestones Friday night as he broke the Whiteford record for career offense.
Kiefer rushed 12 times for 125 yards in Whiteford’s 52-16 win over Madison. He now has 2,671 career rushing yards. Combined with 735 career receiving yards, Kiefer has 3,406 career offensive yards, one more yard than George Flanner compiled at Whiteford from 2003-2006. Flanner is Whiteford’s all-time rushing leader with 2,998 rushing yards.
Kiefer also passed the 400 career point mark Friday. He now has 59 touchdowns and 27 career two-point conversions for 408 career points. He has 126 points so far this season.
Whiteford, who is 6-0 for the first time since 1987, has qualified for the playoffs in all five of Jason Mensing’s season as the Bobcat coach. It’s the first time in Whiteford history the Bobcats are playoff-bound five consecutive years.
