BCAM: Seeding teams and equal divisions on agenda

The Michigan Prep Basketball Coaches Association of Michigan (BCAM) are taking up two issues this month which are vital to the future of prep basketball in the state.

  1. Seeding of teams for the District Tournament.
  2. Equal divisions for Class A, B, C & D

From the BCAM Newsletter this month:

EQUAL DIVISIONS: BCAM will present a proposal to the MHSAA Basketball Committee this month that outlines the need for an equal amount of schools in each class for the basketball tournament. At the present time there are fewer schools in Class D than in the bigger classes. By equalizing the classes, a few schools from Class A, B and C would move down a class. This would have to be a decision by the Representative Council.
