Bobcats lose first, BD wins first

Whiteford saw its three-game winning streak end Thursday with a 67-60 overtime loss to Toledo City League’s Waite High School. The Bobcats went into overtime with the Indians, who held off Whiteford with timely free throw shooting.

Thomas Eitniear (21) and Hunter Lake (18) led the Bobcats in scoring.

The Bobcats will take on tournament host Emmanuel Christian at 5:30 p.m. Friday in the tournament consolation final.

In other action Wednesday, Britton Deerfield won its first game of the season, a 55-43 triumph over Blissfield. The Patriots hit nine 3-pointers –including three in fourth quarter alone by Alex Lord – to grab the win from the Royals.
