Aggies take over TCC boys basketball lead

Sand Creek stands alone in first place in the TCC after an impressive 70-53 win Tuesday on the road at Whiteford.

The seventh-ranked Aggies are 10-0 overall and 6-0 in the TCC after the victory. Sand Creek led by as many as 20 points in handing Whiteford (9-2, 5-1) its first league loss.

Hunter Gallagher scored 23 for Sand Creek and Parker Randall added 19.

Thomas Eitniear led Whiteford with 16 and Hunter Lake chipped in with 13.

The Bobcats, who shot just 1-11 from the three-point line in the first half, was able to make six second-half triples, but couldn’t get closer than seven points on the Aggies. Whiteford’s last lead of the game was 7-5.
