Aggies to try Friday for undefeated boys basketball season

CORRECTS: Previous version said the game was Thursday. It is Friday.

Sand Creek will take on Hudson Friday in its final regular season game with a chance to become just the third boys basketball team in TCC history to go undefeated in the regular season.

The 1989-90 Aggies went 19-0 during the season while Whiteford’s 2002-03 squad went 20-0. That’s it – just those two. Sand Creek can join that short list with a win against LCAA’s Hudson (5-14).

The 1973-74 St. Thomas Fighting Irish is the only other TCC team to finish the season with just one loss. The Irish went 19-1 on the regular season and wound up winning the Class D state championship to finish 26-1 on the season. The 1991-92 Sand Creek team advanced to the state title game with one loss before falling to 26-2.
