Former Ottawa Lake resident and Whiteford Agricultural Schools athlete Nate Holley is in the Minnesota Vikings rookie mini-camp today where he is attempting to make the squad.
Here’s a link to the story posted today on the Kent State University web site.
Holley attended Whiteford through the eighth-grade, playing for the Bobcats throughout its youth football system and into middle school. He played four years of varsity football at Whitmer in Toledo, Ohio, and four years at Kent State University, where he was a two-time All Mid-American Conference choice and among the nation’s leading tacklers.
His twin brother, Nick, became the starting quarterback for Kent State midway through the 2016 season, winning MAC player of the week honors twice. He is listed as the starting QB for the Golden Flashes for the 2017 season.
