Webster takes assistant coaching role at Spring Arbor University

SPRING ARBOR – Madison graduate Jamison Webster has accepted a job as an assistant men’s basketball coach at Spring Arbor University.

In doing so, Webster stepped down at Ida after coaching the Bluestreaks varsity boys two seasons and compiling a 10-33 record. Ida was 9-13 this past season, losing in the Class B district final.

Webster graduated from Madison in 2010 and is a former All-TCC basketball player and was named Daily Telegram Player of the Year as a senior. He played college basketball at Siena Heights University and Adrian College.

Webster replaces a former TCC coach on the Spring Arbor staff. Josh Tropea, who at one time coached at Whitmore Lake, recently returned to the high school coaching ranks when he was named head boys basketball coach at Chelsea.
