Eitniear named to baseball All-Star game at Comerica Park

OTTAWA LAKE – Thomas Eitniear will become the first baseball player in Whiteford history to play in the Michigan High School Baseball Coaches Association All-Star game this summer when he suits up for the West squad June 29 at Comerica Park.

“Thomas is one of the best athletes to ever play at Whiteford and making the All-Star game is a terrific accomplishment,” said Bobcat baseball coach Terry Pant. “It’s exciting for him and the whole community. He’s earned a spot on the team.”

The 37th annual East-West All-Star Baseball Classic will begin at 7 p.m. on the Detroit Tigers’ home field. Tickets will be $10 at the gate.
