New division, new opponents coming for TCC basketball teams

The preliminary 2018-19 District boys and girls basketball assignments have been posted by the Michigan High School Athletic Association and some TCC teams will have new opponents come District time.

For the first time, the MHSAA will divide boys and girls basketball teams into four equal divisions instead of classes.

Among the notable changes, Morenci will move into the Division 3 district that includes Madison and Sand Creek for boys basketball, but will play in Division 4 in girls basketball. Britton Deerfield will move to Division 4 in both sports.
