Summerfield takes TCC showdown with Madison, leads league by two games

Brendan Dafoe started it and Joel Breeding finished it.

The 10th ranked Summerfield boys basketball team remained unbeaten and took a two-game lead in the Tri-County Conference race with a 56-40 win Tuesday at Madison.

Brendan Dafoe scored 14 points in the second quarter and 18 in the first half as Summerfield built a 31-17 lead and Joel Breeding scored 16 of his 24 points in the second half as the Bulldogs stayed comfortably out front.

Dafoe finished with 19 and Breeding 24.

The Bulldogs are 13-0 overall and 9-0 in the TCC. Madison is now 8-2 in the TCC and in second-place.

Madison, one night after winning in the final seconds against Britton Deerfield, was led by Josh Holder and Collin Schmidt, who scored 8 points apiece.
